Tom
Weiskopf makes his debut on the Las Vegas golf scene with
a beauty, The Falls Golf Club at Lake Las Vegas. The par-72,
7,250-yard layout, located at the entrance to the Lake Las
Vegas Resort, is a picturesque design that incorporates the
natural beauty of the area. The course is home to more than
19 acres of water features including a 185-foot waterfall
on the 11th hole and a 165-foot waterfall on the 17th hole.
There is an elevation change of more than 300 feet, much of
it coming from holes 10, 11 and 12. The 13th tee presents
a stunning view of the Las Vegas Strip as well as Lake Las
Vegas Resort. This view is a must-see for visitors and locals
alike.
The par-5 12th hole may be the most enjoyable around -- as well
as one of the most challenging. Playing uphill, the hole crests
several hundred feet above the tee box with a green that appears
to be at the edge of a cliff. Big hitters can try to get home in
two, but it's definitely a three-shot hole for most golfers. Once
on the green, the sights are amazing. A 360-degree panoramic view
of the Las Vegas area gives golfers reason to pause and take in
the sights. And don't be surprised if a bighorn sheep or two wander
up to check out your golf game.
