The
Legacy Golf Club is a highly acclaimed course located in scenic
Green Valley, approximately 20 minutes from Las Vegas Blvd.
Voted "Best Course in Nevada" by the Las Vegas Review
Journal and considered "Top 10 in Nevada" by Golf
Digest, this Arthur Hills design will give you all you can
handle as you attempt to tackle this monster. Annually playing
host to the U.S. Open qualifying event for Southern Nevada,
the Legacy is demanding, long, and a lot of fun to play.
Bring the big dog with you and use it frequently. This 7,233-yard
par-72 features fairways that are long, multi-tiered, and
flanked by natural desert surroundings forcing the golfer
to take it deep. Bring the camera with you and use it on the
10th hole, which features one of the most unique tee-boxes
in the world: four sets of tees that represent each suit --
hearts, diamonds, clubs, and spades. Yes, it is a testament
to Vegas, but your friends won't believe it until you pull
out the proof.
When (if) you survive the fairways, you have waiting for
you greens that are elevated and very quick. The undulations
on many can be severe, and depending on pin placement, can
make or break your round. While the course features very little
water, there is plenty of grass and sand bunkering around
the greens to test your game on approach shots and short "up
and downs."
The Legacy Golf Club does not quite make our "must play"
list, however we feel that it is the perfect course to compliment
a multiple-day golf package, or the right course for those
who prefer a mixture of links and traditional feel without
chasing balls in the desert all day.
