The
Mirage
Done in cool Polynesian touches and is festooned with tropical
greenery; the entrance to the casino is through a 90-foot-high glass
atrium filled with royal palms, orchids and banana trees. The white
tigers of Siegfried and Roy-the world-renown magicians who dazzle
crowds nightly in the Theatre Mirage-reside near one of the entrances
while dolphins swim in an outside pool and live sharks glide stealthily
through a tank behind the reception counter. 3,049 rooms fill a
Y-shaped tower, and guests have a full spa and a lush pool area
to keep them occupied during the day with a number of restaurants,
lounges and abundant gaming to appease them at night.
The
Mirage, Guest Rooms
Each of the 2,763 deluxe and tower deluxe rooms has been redesigned
to provide guests all the comforts of home, while maintaining a
tasteful South Seas beauty. Recently renovated in March, 2002, each
room feels more residential and sophisticated. Plush fabrics, rich
hues, tasteful botanical prints, custom-designed artwork and fine
furnishings combine to create a romantically indulgent getaway for
guests.
The rooms are decorated in two color schemes: a cheerful and casually
elegant room colored with shades of soft yellow with verdant accents
or a rich, gracefully decorated room with shades of cedar and cranberry.
Each room is furnished with an elegant custom-designed armoire
that accommodates a 25-inch color-television and encloses a fully
stocked mini bar.
For the business traveler, the room features a desk and desk lamp
as well as two phones with dual phone lines allowing for convenient
Internet access.
